Well another great trip went without a hiccough! Just ten divers on this trip and most everyone was a little
tired from the long work day and the travel. But it was a  Wednesday night arrival and while Charica ordered
pizza for the group,  Mhairi, Peter Gibson and myself after a quick gear up, the night dive was on!  The
house reef at Fal Beach did not disappoint, soft corals, sponges and a multitude of fish life to see! We
found at least five scorpion fish on that dive, not to mention a spotted eel snake out swimming along.
Mhairi  begged off but Peter and I decided we needed to go back out for a second dive. A wonderful time to
check out Peters new  camera. (I certainly hope to have pics soon to post!) We came upon a large stone fish
trying to sleep the night away. Something I was not going to be doing! In at 1 am, out at two, asleep by three,
up at five, breakfast ready at five thirty! Bus pick up at seven to go to the marina.
My first dive was with Lynn Hackett, Cliff Richardson (both Advanced Students) and Keith Watkins our
Dive Master for the deep dive. Down we went past the wreck itself to 104 feet on the sandy bottom below
the wreck! As Cliff and Lynn put their puzzles together, Keith and I  sat back and enjoyed the beautiful
views. Our trek back up from the depths gave us a great opportunity to take a look at what was left of the
wreck and stop for some photo's.

Two absolutely outstanding
dives at the Boiler Wreck,
visibility forever and the caves
were outstanding. Ed Edoo
took the group through the
caves on the second dive, what
a dive! Hope to have some
video from Ed in the following
week to add to the site. We
travelled after these dives to
Anna's Reef. On the way we
were treated to a large pod of
dolphins playing around the
boat. We had a wonderful dusk
dive on the reef and waited for

Lost Watch on Night Dive!
Do you remember I had to go and look for Mhairi's watch on Friday
morning, well after soaking the gear overnight and getting it sorted
out I found Mhairi's watch exactly where she left it after the night dive
.......................... still attached to the sleeve of her wet suit!!!

Big Whitey's Red Sea Adventures

March 2006
After an hour down under we were all feeling the cool temps (27C/77F)
even though we were wearing 3mm wet suits. We all came out of the
water refreshed, awake and glad we made the dive. Back to the room
for some pizza!
the sun to go down so we could do a night dive out a sea. After a wonderful day on the Red Sea it was time to head back to port. Dinner was
served at the pool side. The evening was finished off with a night dive on the reef by Peter, Mhairi and Keith. Friday found a group of tired but
happy divers ready for the trip back to Dammam. Congratulations to Lynn and Cliff on the completion of the Deep dive and Night Dive for the
advanced course, can't wait to do the Navigation and the other adventure dives with you. Thanks to Keith for your Dive mastering. Big Whitey,
as always a great trip! To everyone else, always a pleasure to dive with you can't wait to do it again.
